The horse stables offer horse training, private and group riding lessons, wilderness riding lessons, and a Youth Equine Summer Camp. The stables also host annual events such as a pumpkin patch at Halloween and an annual Christmas party. Special prizes are handed out for best horse costume. Just kidding.
Hidden Valley Lake is a pet-friendly community. One of the newer amenities is an off-leash dog park located at the corner of Powder Horn and Yankee Valley Road. The community provides living essentials with a little bit of lake luxury added in too.
For those who enjoy boating and want to spend a day on the lake, the marina has two separate 20-slip boat docks available for a yearly rental fee. There is a boat launch ramp, on-site parking area, view park and restrooms. Operation of the marina begins a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after dusk daily, so you can spend all day there -- just be sure to wear sunscreen!
