There are very few businesses here, but the California State Highway 16/Jackson Road is just south of this neighborhood, so factor that in if you don't like traffic noise (though really, there won't be too much to worry about -- it's a rural highway).

Living in Rancho Murieta

Rancho Murieta is pretty small, which is why the main thing to do here is hang out at the country club and socialize with neighbors. Not a bad existence, right? Of course, a resident's got to eat, so there are some restaurants that include Go Fore Pizza, El Gallo Restaurant, and Spelly's Pub and Grille.

If you are in the mood to shop, there are a few boutiques and stores with furniture and household wares, but you're going to have to travel to shop anywhere else. Luckily, all you have to do to get to the state capital is head west down California State Highway 16 and stop when you reach Sacramento. If you head further east along highway 16, it won't take long to end up at one of the local tribal casinos or in the booming new wine regions of Fair Play or Amador.
