Neighborhoods in Selma

Selma is broken up into five distinct neighborhoods. Although the majority of land in Selma is dedicated to agriculture, there is still a growing commercial center in the northeastern part of town.

Monmouth: Monmouth is the largest neighborhood in Selma and primarily consists of farms and orchards. While some of the nicest properties can be found in this part of Selma, the majority are for farming, so it might not be the best place to search for rental homes.

East Mountain View and South Highland Avenue: With direct access to Highway 99, this neighborhood is great for people who regularly drive to Fresno or other parts of the Central Valley.

Dinuba Avenue and South Thompson Avenue: This is the northernmost part of town and also has access to Highway 99. There are some larger houses in this area, as well as a decent number of smaller farms.

Downtown Selma: Downtown Selma has been seeing a revival of commercial development in recent years. One of the most popular new restaurants is Cattlemens Restaurant.

Living in Selma

Although Selma is a fairly small and laid-back farming town, there are still a few things to do for fun. In addition to restaurants like Cattlemens and bars like the 99 Club, there are some historical railroad exhibits in downtown Selma.
