Spanning about 4.7 square miles, Miramar, is the epitome of Sunshine State living. People who call this community home get to experience what tourists pay big bucks to enjoy, every day of the year. Of course, there are also many part-time residents who escape to this part of Florida to keep the sun on their faces when everyone else is slipping on the ice and shoveling snow off the pavement. August Drive: This section of town has a Walk Score of 49, which means you can walk to some places, but you'll need a car to fully explore the area. Get your morning coffee at Another Broken Egg Cafe, but wait for evening to visit Emerald Coast Restaurant for a few beers and some conversation.
Scenic Gulf Drive: This area is a little more walkable, with a Walk Score of 55 out of 100. You'll be closest to Dine in Delivery Restaurant and Topsail Hill Reserve State Park here.
Driftwood Road: With a Walk Score of 45 out of 100, this part of town does provide some amenities you can walk to, but you'll likely want some wheels for getting around. Take in a movie at AMC Destin Commons 14.
