"I'm back to livin' Floridays / Blue skies and ultra violet rays / Lookin' for better days." (- Jimmy Buffet, "Floridays")
Once the domain of the Timucuan Indians, the area wasn't inhabited until the Quakers (blown off course) landed here in 1643. They didn't make it, though, as the Native Americans destroyed their settlement. It eventually became a plantation, and now, it's one of the best places to find an apartment for rent during the summer months. In fact, many wealthy Northerners enjoy it during the cold winter. Overall, it's a suburban area with a bit of tourism thrown into the mix. View Ormond Beach City Guide
Studio apartments could offer the best of Ormond Beach living at a less expensive price tag than larger units. Look for the best buildings near entertainment, dining, and public transportation or highway access.
Ask about the square footage of studio apartments in Ormond Beach during your tour. Even a little extra space in another building can offer more room for storage or an additional chair. Consider the layout and what you can accomplish before you sign. You should have enough room for your bed, a small sitting area, and a dining table. You can always get creative and loft your bed to save on space underneath or install a fold-down table or desk that tucks away.
