The town keeps to its own, often having small festivals and community events for the locals, which gives it the feel of a family atmosphere.
Being a mid-land Florida community, you will find year-long temperate weather; however, that is about all that Southeast Arcadia has in common with some of the more southern cities in Florida. Before you launch into your search for apartment rentals in Southeast Arcadia, you need to understand the tone of the town.
Pricing Your Home
One of the greatest benefits to the housing market in Southeast Arcadia is the low cost of living. The house rentals and apartment rentals in the area are extremely affordable, including everything from a condo for rent to a studio apartment for rent.
Breaking In
However, it is not always sunshine and daisies in this lovely Florida community. Because of the small-town feel of Southeast Arcadia, the housing options are somewhat limited. Therefore, breaking into the community might be challenging, simply because there are fewer housing options to choose from. In fact, the largest challenge you will face is finding a suitable place to hang your hat.
Looking Early
Because the market is a bit hit-and-miss, it is never a bad idea to start looking well before you start your move. While some larger cities allow you to be able to look and find a place to live just a few months or weeks before your move, Southeast Arcadia requires a bit more courting than this. You want to make sure that you start looking well in advance so that you are aware of all of the current housing options as well as any options that might become available in the future. The early bird, as it were.
Welcoming Community
Southeast Arcadia is a welcoming community of people who look after their neighbors. Because of this, you will not need much to move here except your place to live and your belongings. Few locations require credit history or proof of income. The town is slow-paced, so it is not necessary to earn above a certain income threshold.
The town only covers 7.3 square miles, making it a very limited location. However, that does not mean that you do not have options on neighborhoods. Each and every one of those miles is used to make the small village feel like home.
W. Fletcher Street: Including a small-town church and intimate ponds around several lanes of houses, Fletcher Street is located on the southern corner of the town's limits, putting it closer to the ocean. It's also close to the beautiful Joshua Creek!
Airport Avenue: Need to grab a commuter plane to a local area? The Arcadia Municipal Airport is right smack on the eastern edge of the town and along the streets of a nice residential community.
Hargrave: On the northernmost corner of the town and right on the border to the much larger Arcadia center, Hargrave is a booming residential community that boasts most of the town's residences. The Reef and Beef is also tucked away up here and is a favorite of many neighborhoodies.
It's a small location without a lot of the big-city amenities that some people might be familiar with; but Southeast Arcadia is a lovely little community with a lot of heart. Considering much of the town's center consists of parks and fields, it really brings the concept of a small town to life.
