Cusetta is a small city located in Chattahoochee County, Georgia. If the county name isn't enough to make you smile, you should know that Cusetta briefly laid claim to the world's tallest manmade structure -- a transmission tower that was unfortunately one upped by a television tower in Fargo, North Dakota only a year later. According to recent census data, Cusseta's current population is about 11,266 people.
Cusseta is a neighborhood in and of itself. In fact it's considered to be a part of the Chattahoochee County Neighborhood which means that you'll be hard pressed to find any real neighborhoods within Cusetta. That said, you might be wise to choose your rental area based on what you'd like to be close to. If you're going to work in Columbus, it's wise to either rent in the neighborhood of Columbus or to look for something on the North or Northwest end of Cusseta, which will cut your commute time to about 20 minutes. If you'd like to be near the Golf Course and Miller's Lake, head to the Southeast side of town.
Things to Look Out For
The main obstacle you'll face when moving to Cusetta is lack of rentals. Most properties are owned rather than rented and there's a serious lack of homes for rent so you'll have to start looking early. If you've got your heart set on a house in Cusseta, you'd be smart to look up a local realtor as they typically have a small selection of homes available that are generally a bit cheaper than renting outside of Cusetta.
