The largest county fair in all of Iowa, this attraction gets an increase in vendors and activities every year. The event includes shows like a cappella and band concerts, hypnotist shows and the Kent Family Magic Circus for children. The fun continues with other activities like motocross and derby events, auctions and an antique tractor parade.
Le Mars is much more than just county fairs and copious amounts of ice cream. It also offers its residents multiple opportunities to get involved with the arts. The Le Mars Art Center features classes for both adults and youths, as well as exhibitions and concerts. If you are interested in theater, be sure to check out the Le Mars Community Theatre -- recent productions have included "A Few Good Men" and_ "_An Evening of Culture."

Le Mars is home to numerous other clubs and organizations. In fact, there are more than 50 of them, so it is easy to find a group to get involved with that suits your interests perfectly. Some options include the American Legion, Eagles Club, Friday Club, Newcomer's Program, and Optimist Club.
If you're feeling like a night or two of camping, Le Mars can provide that as well. For a nominal fee, the Willow Creek Campground provides spaces for both tents and RVs. It's a great way to spend some quality time in Iowa's great outdoors.
The Le Mars Farmer's Market is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the local community and purchase fresh and homemade items. The selections include fresh fruit and veggies, jams, jellies, homemade items, flowers, and numerous other appealing items. The farmer's market occurs Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, July through September. It's a local favorite, so be sure to check it out while you're in town.
