St. Rose is the 60th-largest community in Louisiana. St. Rose is ethnically diverse with the largest number of residents reporting their ancestry to be French. Most residences are well-established and built between 1940 and 1969. Most residents are of French descent and there is a rich cultural and ethnic diversity that permeates the neighborhood.
St. Rose is a small town and as such it has no public transit system so walking, biking and car travel are the predominant ways of getting around town. St. Rose is one of the more friendly towns for bike riders but cars are still the most prevalent form of transportation within the town.
For oodles of fun, head out to zoo or stop in at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. To catch up on a little history consider the Felix-Block Building or the Ormond Plantation House which are all an easy drive. If you are the outdoorsy type, or looking for a little excitement St. Rose has some great local county parks and recreational areas.
