Cadillac is served by three highways, namely US 131, M-55 and the M-115. A local public bus service, the Cadillac/Wexford Transit Authority, operates a demand-response public transportation system. Indian Trails provides a daily intercity bus service which connects Cadillac to Michigan, Petoskey and Grand Rapids. Dedicated cycling and walking routes are afforded in and around the city. These routes stretch for a total of 92 miles in all, following along the length of an abandoned railroad bed!

Nearby Caberfae Peaks is the oldest ski resort in the county. There are six lifts and no less than 34 slopes of varying gradients! Throughout the summer months, the resort serves as a top-notch location for wedding receptions, and there's also a nine-hole golf course for those who wish to try for a coveted hole-in-one. For a more serious round of golf, you'd be best served paying a visit to Eldorado Golf Course, where you'll be treated to 18 holes of the finest golf in the area.

The William Mitchell State Park on M-115 is a great place to set up camp for a day or two. The campsites are backed by a canal that gently flows between the two lakes -- Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell. Imagine waking up at the crack of dawn, zipping your tent door open and witnessing the sun rising over the lakes. Life doesn't get much better than this!
