The reason why this city was named Charlotte makes for a particularly fascinating story. Actually, no, not really. The man who originally owned the land sold a portion of it to three other righteous gentlemen. Said righteous gentlemen had the notion that as a way of honoring Mr. Bostwick, the original owner, they'd name the land after his wife, Charlotte. Exciting, isn't it? At least flattering for Charlotte, anyway.
Charlotte, which is a city in Michigan, is located about 21 miles from the state capital, Lansing. If you're intent on commuting, simply drive on over from central Charlotte to join Interstate 69 and it will take you all of about half an hour to arrive at Lansing. The city has a humid climate, which equates to being hot and sultry in the summer months when everyone complains just how humid it actually is, and with cold winters, when everyone complains just how cold it actually is. Can't win, can you?

Brookmead Way: Overlooking a series of small ponds, Brookmead Way offers the chance for lots of tranquility. For those who like to indulge in Mexican cuisine, the Don Tequillas Mexican Restaurant is located a short walk away on Lansing Road.
South Clinton Street: Not far away from downtown Charlotte and offering easy access to Interstate 69, South Clinton Street certainly makes for an attractive location in which to rent.
Living in Charlotte
The best way to traverse Charlotte's 6.5 square miles is by car. Furthermore, commuting from Charlotte is easy, with Interstate 90, the M 50 and the M 79 all connecting with the city.

For a quick round of golf, head for the first tee at Maple Brook Golf Course just off Lansing Street. Do be mindful however that although the course offers near-championship quality, it's rather dwarf-like in stature, affording a mere nine holes to those who can't resist the chance to whack the little white ball around the green fields.
For those who prefer a more sedentary life than even golf can afford, try the Evelyn Bay Coffee Restaurant on South Cochran Avenue, where you can delight until your heart is more than content in their homemade ice creams and pastries. Then, wash it all down with a large mug of hot mocha.
If you prefer to indulge in the enchiladas and paletas side of things, pop over to Don Tequillas Restaurant on Lansing Road. The food is as authentic as it comes, and to make life that much more "pleasant," don't forget to order a few of the exquisite margaritas while you're filling your face with the el alimento.
