Main Street: Despite what its name may make you think, Main Street does not actually run through the main part of Emerson. It runs alongside the Emerson Woods and is full of beautiful homes for rent or sale that can be on the pricier side. With the woods ensuring that there will always be quiet behind you, this is the perfect neighborhood for anyone who wants some real privacy.
Most residents of Emerson will use cars to get around, unless they're commuting into the city or walking through downtown. Emerson is a small city, but it still boasts some impressive sites, like the historic Emerson Hotel, which is known for its famous sliced steak that's sure to please any carnivore. Emerson's main attraction is its wide variety of restaurants, which range from Thai to sushi to good old American burgers and hot dogs. Emerson isn't bursting with activities, but luckily it's part of the most densely populated county in New Jersey, which means there are a hundred things to do right outside of Emerson's city limits, from shopping to hiking. Emerson is a small town in the midst of a populated place. It's a nice little haven away from the busy atmosphere of New York City and New Jersey, but it's also nice to know that if you crave excitement, it's just a train ride away.
