There's a plethora of restaurants in and around the Lake Mohawk vicinity. For a combo of Mexican-style cuisine and beer, visit Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub on White Deer Plaza in Sparta. Oh, and this restaurant does great pizza too! For Chinese food, head on over to Lucky House Chinese Restaurant, also on White Deer Plaza in Sparta. For a straight-up pizzeria, TJ's Pizzeria of Sparta fits the bill rather well. You'll find this pizza-oriented eatery on Woodport Road in Sparta. For seasonal American fare, Mohawk House at Sparta Junction is delicious. If, on the other hand, you are intent on a bit more physical action than sitting around stuffing your face, Kittatinny Valley State Park at Newton is ideal for mountain biking, hiking, birding (as in spying on local birdlife) and horseback riding.
