Ramtown is a census-designated area in the greater Howell Township area of Southeastern New Jersey. Ramtown is a dense neighborhood that earns the Garden State moniker with its abundance of greenery. It's just 30 or so miles outside of New York City and connects to the 440 highway into New York via the Garden State Parkway. Around 6,200 people call Ramtown home, though the town gets a bit more traffic from the nearby Monmouth Executive Airport, which is one of the highest-rated plane-changing ports in the nation.

Ramtown is almost entirely residential, so those looking for a bite to eat or a night out tend to drive east to the waterfront communities that are far more urban in design. Point Pleasant Beach and the connected boardwalk are popular destinations for the plethora of seafood restaurants around like Mariner's Cove and Shore Fresh. Don't worry about ordering out, though: Ramtown has its own local pizzeria in J & G Pizza on the south side. Adventurous folks can also look into skydiving opportunities at Monmouth Executive Airport or dig into some hiking at the vast Open Space Plan southeast of town. Of course, there's also the infinite entertainment draw of New York City itself. Driving in for a Broadway show, Giants game or anything else (it's New York, it has everything) is definitely doable.
Ramtown is a great community for those who want the East Coast experience without necessarily having to live in East Coast density. It's close enough to major urban areas to fit the bill, but quiet enough to be a nice retreat from the bustle.
