This is a popular place to live, both because of its location so close to NYC as well as its laid-back, friendly vibe and beautiful setting. There are a few different subdivisions in Strathmore, and though you'll definitely want a car to get around, you won't be far from local grocery stores and restaurants and other conveniences. Plenty of food options are near Route 34, such as the Japanese eatery Mahzu, Park Place Diner and Bliss Restaurant.
