Newburgh is located on the Hudson River about 60-miles north of New York City and 90-miles south of Albany. Its location on the Hudson Line of Metro North makes it a great locale for commuters. It’s also got a lot of cheap apartments when compared to nearby commuter cities.
Whole swaths of the city have undergone recent renovations courtesy of local civic groups and Habitat for Humanity. Liberty Street, the main downtown thoroughfare has recently seen development in shops and restaurants.
