North Merrick is a tiny town on the South Fork of Long Island. The city is actually sometimes considered a neighborhood of the larger Merrick, but North Merrick residents get the privilege of having nearly nothing going on in their town, making it a great place to escape if you commute into the city. With a train station just south in Merrick, and an easy drive to New York City or the beaches of the Hamptons, North Merrick is a convenient spot to end up living on the South Fork of Long Island.

Let's face it: North Merrick is really tiny. Save for one park, a couple of stores and a racquet club, there's really not much to do there. That's okay, however, because many people here travel to NYC via the Long Island Railroad, and also, many people like to go the opposite direction and spend their entertainment hours in the Hamptons. So, if you're looking for quiet suburban living near one of the biggest and most-exciting cities on the planet, North Merrick is definitely a great spot for you.
