That's okay, however, because many people here travel to NYC via the Long Island Railroad, and also, many people like to go the opposite direction and spend their entertainment hours in the Hamptons. So, if you're looking for quiet suburban living near one of the biggest and most-exciting cities on the planet, North Merrick is definitely a great spot for you.
