You'll need a car to them to get to know and better appreciate the many shopping and entertainment attractions you're sure to find spread out between them.

The retail shopping top dogs among the area are the centerpiece Roosevelt Field Mall, as well as the American at Manhasset, which features more than 60 high-end, luxury retail emporiums. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate Gerry Park in Roslyn, a beautiful 16-acre green space in the middle of town that offers sleigh rides in the winter and outdoor concerts during the summer.
