And it is close to one of the most famous and breath-taking sites in the world, Niagara Falls, less than an hour away. These waterfalls were formed when the ice receded at the end of the last ice age. This makes a great place to experience science, history, and the splendor of nature all at once. Buffalo is also a great sports town, with professional football (Bills) and professional hockey (Sabres) in town, and a minor league baseball team, the Bisons.
