City Guide for Springdale, OH

The town of Springdale was known as Springfield for much of its early existence, and U.S. Route 4 -- better known locally as Springfield Pike -- runs through the middle of the town. Confusion with another city of that name elsewhere in Ohio (and resulting waits of up to six months for mail) prompted the city to change its name to Springdale.

Springdale, Ohio, is a moderately sized suburb of Cincinnati located on the northern edge of Hamilton County, Ohio. Springdale is perhaps best known as the location of one of the area's largest shopping malls, as well as Springdale Cinema de Lux, one of the largest movie theater complexes in the region. Springdale is an older suburb, founded in the early 1800s, but was known as Springfield up until 1850. Today, Springdale is home to more than 11,000 people. View Springdale City Guide

What to keep in mind when looking for apartments with garages in Springdale, OH

Springdale apartments with garages are sometimes more expensive than other options. However, they may make more financial sense in the long run.

Weather, break-ins, and daily struggles to find a space can take a toll financially and physically. Remember that even cities in mild climates experience issues like salt air, tornadoes, hail, falling branches from storms, and other issues.

It’s also possible to score an auto insurance reduction if you park in a garage. Ask your insurance provider about any deals or discounts that could trim money off the cost of your monthly bill.

Before signing a lease, ask the landlord or property manager about any restrictions on garage use. It’s important to know if there are enough spaces for tenants and visitors and what happens if the garage is full. If you’re moving into an apartment inside a home, ask about any conditions on its use and if storage is allowed.
