Living in Brentwood

Brentwood is a proud little borough; its heritage is rich with pre-Columbian and colonial landmarks, such as the Native American Indian trail following Brownsville Road and the Point View Hotel that will remind you of how wonderful it is to be an American.

It is also impossible to become bored in Brentwood; there is just too much to see and do! If you'd like to walk the footsteps of at least four U.S. presidents (including Andrew Jackson and Zachary Taylor) stop by the marker for the Point View Hotel (the building having been unfortunately demolished in 2006) and learn of its role in the Underground Railroad.

As most would assume, the Metro area is generally more densely populated and carries with it the "city feel". Here, you can find many things to do and see. The River area, while still in the borough, is more on the outskirts and appeals to those who prefer the rural city environment. Here, it's a little more of a natural vibe, so you can most definitely enjoy the pleasures of the outdoors in this area.

If you would rather spend your days outside, the conditions are ideal for kite flying in Brentwood City park. If you want a little bit of both you can find the happy medium by taking a stroll through nature inside the Brentwood Arboretum. You can then refuel at any of the diners (you have to try the Spartan Pizza!) and then go on the Library on Brownsville Road to find even more attractions.
