It contains such delightful oddities as Mozart Hall, a performance space dating back to 1890, as well as community projects like the Latrobe Art Center, which provide a unique flavor to the town. You can find studio apartments for rent (and some larger), but if you're looking for a house, it would behoove you to look south of town. If you're looking for a town with a character like your quirky best friend, this is the place for you!
Lawson Heights: This is the St. Vincent College area, wonderfully quiet and suburban. It's no wonder the Steelers use the college grounds for training camp! It's quiet, tree-lined streets would induce serenity in even the most stress-prone city-dweller. Find a home for rent and live quietly, enjoying the peaceful vistas of the Laurel Highlands. If you don't mind close neighbors, snag a duplex for rent in a much lower price range.
Lincoln Highway and Latrobe Country Club: Southwest of town, find rental houses in a higher price range than the rest of Latrobe. If you're looking for upscale, this is it! With perfectly manicured lawns (like the greens on the Country Club links), plenty of old oak trees that have seen decades past, and marvelous brick homes, you can live in the lap of luxury in Latrobe, too. If you're looking down here, however, rent will be high, so be prepared to shell out a pretty penny.
