Residents of Citrus Heights are very proud of their local leadership. After breaking off from Sacramento, the city planners have been able to come up with very well planned developments. Citrus Heights has its own police force that keeps criminal activity down and reacts extremely rapidly. The impressive local infrastructure like roadways, and landscaping means you will love walking in the neighborhood. Not only are the recreational parks great, but there are even dog parks where your pretty canine can have a romp or a nap.
The leaders in this town have afforded the citizenry a lot of time to focus on things like improving the local environment, which is awe inspiring. For example, residents regularly join hands during "Creek Week," to clean the local waterways and to remove invasive weeds and other noxious plants. There are many other regular events that bring people together here like the red, white and blue parade to commemorate the Citrus Heights Independence Day.
Every neighborhood has an association and marching band to keep you pretty preoccupied at home. This can be a turn-off for some busy people, but when the beast called downsizing strikes, is it one of the activities that has kept many sane.
