West Savannah: On the west side of Savannah is the gorgeous Tennessee River, which curves up and around the edge of town. Here is where you'll find the Savannah Historic Trail and Riverwalk, as well as Cherry Mansion. There's a beautiful river park where people gather to picnic and hear live music, and you can always take advantage of the fishing and boating options. East Savannah: The eastern part of Savannah is more peaceful than its western counterpart is. You'll find a lot of subdivisions and lovely tree-lined streets along with a few small parks and mostly residential living instead of commercial buildings or tourist attractions.
The biggest park in the city is Riverside City Park and it's right on the Tennessee River.
