It's a peaceful city, where the pace of life in slow, but that doesn't mean it's all dirt tracks and tumbleweeds. Residents of the town are known for being friendly and community minded, so if you'd like to live in a place where you won't get glared at for asking to borrow a cup of sugar from your neighbors, then Cameron might be the perfect place for you to settle.

Finding a Property
In the old days, it's rumored that people used to find rental homes via adverts in the grocery store or by reading tea leaves, but nowadays, most people use that newfangled invention known as the computer to look at property websites. Quinif: This rural location on the west side of the city is ideal for those who prefer to be close to nature. Parts of the area are close to the gorgeous Big Elm Creek. You might be a few miles from a decent coffee, but homes are larger and there's plenty of green space.
City Center: As you may guess, this neighborhood is close to most of the town's facilities. You'll be close to the Cameron Country Club, as well as restaurants such as Circle A Bar-B-Que. Properties tend to be on the smaller side, so it's a good place to look for that studio apartment or cozy townhouse.
Look closely and you'll see there's something for everyone in Cameron. If you want to see some local plays, head on over to the Williams Event Center, which is home to the Milam Community Theater. If you're interested in the history of the area, you must visit the Milam County Historical Museum, which is located in a historic building itself, the old county jailhouse. You'll find an abundance of outdoor space in and around Cameron. The 25-acre Wilson-Ledbetter park is ideal for hiking, biking, picnicking or simply relaxing. A number of annual events and festivals take place in the town, including the Dewberry Festival, Nature Fest and the Christmas Parade.
