Weather here is relatively mild year round -- hot and sunny in the summer months, with a temperate winter, fall and spring. There are three major bridges in the greater Brownsville area that houses Cameron Park: The Old Bridge (the Brownsville and Matamoros International span), the Gateway International Bridge and the Veteran's International Bridge. The greater Brownsville area has several major festivals each year, including the renowned film festival, CineSol, The Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival and the Charro Festival. Art galleries and museums also abound, with national and international exhibitions as well as local artists as the focus of attention.
