Moving to Kingsland
There are no official neighborhoods, but if you want to find a house for rent in Kingsland, try searching in the Wood Forest Road and Tomahawk Trail areas. These are well-established properties that offer one-, two- or three-bedroom rental homes with xeriscape landscaping (perfect for an area sometimes fraught with drought). The area close to Doe Street, Indian Trail, and Tank Lane offers more in the way of apartment rentals, as well as some small to medium duplexes for rent.
Apartment renting is the way to go if you think you might have to travel for work, but because most of the yards are xeriscaped for persistent droughts, they are very low maintenance! River Oaks Drive winds around the western edge of town and is one of the more remote locations. This is perfect for those who adore peace, quiet, and nature at its best. Renting an apartment on the edge of town has its perks, too! The Llano River runs the length of River Oaks Drive and makes for an incredible view.
Living in Kingsland
Kingsland is a small Texas town with plenty of room to spread out if you wish. The Llano River curves from the northwest edge of town and down around the southeastern section where it meets the Colorado River. The Colorado River comes in from the northeast and loops down to meet the Llano River, where many locals and visitors adore cooling off and hanging out on a warm summer day. The area is called slab rock, named for the giant slabs of pink granite that cover the area.
The residents of Kingsland are lucky enough to be able to take day trips to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, just outside of Llano, as well as Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Cavern State Park. If you're the outdoorsy type with a thirst for rock climbing, challenging bike rides and a love of being able to see the stars at night, this is your dream-come-true place!
