New Territory is in and of itself a neighborhood of Richmond, Texas. The Brazos River borders this community, and within it are Horseshoe Lake and Old River Lake. Wildlife watching - such as migratory birds - can be had along the riverfront, and there are plenty of walking trails and biking paths, too.

New Territory is a suburban neighborhood as far as population density, and consists mostly of medium sized to larger single family homes, town homes, and complexes. While much of the real estate is owner occupied, there are rentals available. Homes are primarily new, built between 1970 and the present.

Just outside this community's border, you'll find the interesting Fort Bend Museum, named by The Texas Historical Commission as one of Texas' best local history museums. An annual children's day festival, every March, draws crowds.

Conveniently located near Interstate 69 in the greater Sugar Land area south of Houston, commutes into Houston itself, with its museums, major businesses, and nightlife, is about thirty minutes. Workers drive into Houston or Richmond, so you'll want to have a car if you're coming to New Territory. Sugar Land Regional Airport is located near by.

New Territory has lots to offer including a large clubhouse with a gym, fitness center, and multipurpose rooms great for parties and gatherings. A tennis club and pro center are also located near the main clubhouse. There's a resort-like swimming pool, so get into shape at the gym and enjoy hanging out by the pool. Throughout the community are other smaller pools, tennis courts, soccer fields -- nine in all -- and additional playgrounds. Pocket parks are scattered throughout the area, adding a spacious feel to the community.
