West Livingston is a small town located on the beautiful shores of Lake Livingston. Famed for water sports and the outdoors, it is perfect for outdoorsy types who enjoy fishing and sailing. This is a town with great shops and is within easy reach of other local towns and cities, and Livingston Municipal Airport is close by. A quick trip down nearby Highway 160 can take you to many other towns and cities in Texas. There are some great homes rent in West Livingston as well as to buy.
West Livingston is full of small-town charm. Mainly a residential area, sneak a peek at the Livingston City website to find local amenities and facilities, including trash, recycling and various permits including building regulations in the area. If you are planning a move there are removal companies in the area and there are also storage facilities close by. Livingston also has Trade Days when the town is promoted and this is a great opportunity to check out the neighborhood. But before you get too excited and show up at Trade Days, make sure you bring along with you the right paperwork to get you a rental property in the city. Downtown/Town Center. For those who like to be close to the action, the town center is a great place to live. It is a lot quieter than Livingston but there are still plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. You'll like the price tag too! West Livingston: Streets like Mangum Road and Pridgeen Road are perfect for those hunting for a bargain, with many homes built between the 1970's and the 1990's. Onalaska: This neighborhood of mobile homes, small apartments and medium-sized houses is also smack dab on the shores of Lake Livingston. Properties in this neighborhood are pricier than other parts of West Livingston but still cheaper than other parts of Texas.
Lake Livingston State Park and the Beach Bay Marina campground are located right in town. Located near Pine Island, the campground offers some of the best fishing along with other activities like jet skiing. The state park has the typical hiking, camping, fishing and swimming. If you've got some free time, the park also accept volunteers!
