"Stuarts Draft, Virginia, Warehouse Capital of the United States!" It was given this designation because of the seven warehouses and factories that call Stuarts Draft home: Target Corporation, Hershey Chocolate of Virginia, McKee Little Debbie, Hollister Inc., Nibco, Ply Gem, and Sayre factory.
Stuarts Draft, Virginia receives its name from Thomas Stewart who, in 1749, bought the 353 acres that would become the community located south of the South River. Most believe that the "Draft" part of the community name comes from either the title of the legal document involved in Thomas' purchase of the land or an 18th-century name for a river. In either case, Stuarts Draft has a unique history and a blossoming future. It is still a relatively small community, claiming only 9200 residents. Still in the past decade, it has experienced an 11% increase in population growth while still maintaining the beauty of Russell Rock and Cellar Mountain to the south. And it is not called the "Warehouse Capital of United States" for nothing! You will find layered in this community warehouses galore and more than enough shops to satisfy even the most avid shopper. Situated in the west of the Commonwealth of Virginia, this small community will instill in you an awe for nature and an appreciation for the innovation of technology.
When looking for places for rent in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, the most important thing to remember is not to be overwhelmed by all the amazing possibilities! Because the cost-of-living and unemployment rates are below the national average, your options in deciding where you live in Stuarts Draft are generally wide open, from premier apartments to rental homes
