There's also a big Walmart super center for all your weekly shopping needs. This is a great place to look for apartments and offers easy access to I-82 for getting in and out of Yakima and Portland.
Route 241 / Independence Road: This part of town is much more rural, which some folks love. It offers suburban style housing with the peace and serenity of Washington State farmland. You'll have beautiful views of the sweeping green fields and will be just a short drive away from the state's awesome wine country.
Waneta Road / E. Lincoln Ave.: This part of town draws in a lot of residents because it's so convenient. There's a lovely coffeeshop here -- Guerra's Coffee Company -- which you will probably frequent because Washingtonians sure do love their coffee! The area is primarily residential so you'll find quite a few apartments for rent here.
The town was founded in 1893 and was incorporated as a town in 1902, so it has a lot of historic value and many attractions and sights to see. It's also home to the Lighted Farm Implement Parade, which happens every December and is one of the country's biggest lighted parades!
The town is close to the Yakima Airport, which makes it a super convenient little place to live if you're always jet-setting around the country. Although, living in a city like Sunnyside, we wouldn't blame you if you never wanted to leave.
