This light-filled, 1920s, cedar-shake cottage is very private with no direct adjacent neighboring buildings. It is located on a small alley street surrounded by a fenced, secure, open lot with views of the Bay and Coit Tower.

The house has hardwood floors throughout and consists of a large living/bedroom space with an open-truss, cathedral ceiling and fireplace plus a completely remodeled, large, eat-in kitchen with prep island. Directly off the kitchen/eating area is a private, semi-enclosed, sunny, 200 square foot back deck. The bathroom is partially-tiled with a combination tub/shower.

Storage includes a large closet, a smaller linen/utility closet and a large built-in clothing storage unit. It comes with a stacked washer/dryer off the back deck. On-site, secure, private off-street parking for two cars is available for an additional $300 per month.

The location can't be beat. Adjacent to Chinatown, the cottage is walking distance to Union Square, the Financial District and North Beach with excellent transportation access including the 1 California bus, the Powell Street Cable Car a half-block away and the soon-to-be-completed Central Subway Washington Street station just two blocks away.

The rent does NOT include utilities such as water, trash, gas, electric, etc. We will require a security deposit and will run credit as part of the application process. We will consider a pet with an additional pet deposit.
