Here you'll find a lifestyle of comfort and convenience and a rich, welcoming community. They practice the epitome of southern hospitality, so you'll never feel out of place here. It's located right on Georgia State Highway 19 and offers convenient access to Northern Florida, Alabama and I-75. If you're thinking about finding an apartment for rent in Camilla, you'll be happy to know that the area has an above average vacancy rate and that there is a good mix of renters and owners. This means that there will be plenty of units to choose from, whether you're looking for a small apartment complex, a 3-bedroom apartment, or a single family home. That's not the only good news, either. Property in Camilla is about half the national median price for real estate so you will likely have some extra pocket change to store up for fun vacations or savings! Camilla has a suburban feel to it, but it is located in a pretty rural section of Georgia so you'll have both the conveniences of suburban life along with the privacy and peace of a small country town.
When searching for apartments in Camilla, get a clear idea in your head of exactly what you're looking for. Prices don't vary much across town, but you might prefer living closer to the highway if you have to travel or living in a more rural subdivision if you like a lot of space. Once you've narrowed down your search, you can start to poke around and see what is available in the parts of town you like. One way to do this is to contact realtors in the area who can point you in the right direction. Make sure you bring all your leasing documents with you to your appointments -- your landlord will want to get a clear picture of your income situation so that there's no doubt you can pay your rent on time. You'll also want to make sure you have enough cash to cover the deposit -- which will typically be one month's rent on top of the first month's rent you'll need to pay upon move in.
The town doesn't have actual neighborhoods, but here's a little info about what you'll find in the different parts of town.
City Center: This is where Newtown Road crosses I-19 and you'll find a lot of restaurants and shops here, such as Kebo's BBQ and Quarters Restaurant. The Mitchell County Hospital is also located here too. It's a good place to live if you want to have dining and shopping options within walking distance.
North Camilla: The north side of town is where you'll find Oakview Cemetery, one of the city's prettiest spots. Martin Luther King Jr. Road runs right across this section and it's almost 100% residential, making it a great place for people who like a little more privacy and wide, pretty streets.
Camilla has a surprising amount to offer considering it's a town of not even 6,000 people! It's known for its special events year-round, including the May Gnat Days Festival and the June Lite Pro Invitational Tennis Tournament. It's considered one of the world's best places for tennis. They have heaps of beautiful antebellum bed and breakfasts for visiting guests and the whole area is filled with gorgeous oak trees that are hundreds of years old. They are famous for their delicious restaurants, as well, like The Bistro downtown and the Huddle House on Highway 19. Renting an apartment in Camilla might turn out to be one of the best decisions you've ever made!
