Francisville is a suburban neighborhood located in the City of Hebron, in the heart of Boone County, Kentucky. Boone County is positioned in the largest bend of the Ohio River and is about 20 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio. Boone County is famous for its history and geology and is home to many historic sites. Big Bone Lick State Park, located in Boone County, is one of Kentucky's most well-visited parks and was named for the Pleistocene megafauna fossils found there. Mammoths were drawn to the area because of the salt lick deposits around the sulphur springs located in the park. Big Bone Lick State Park is located just north of the neighborhood of Francisville.
When to Move
Before moving here, there are some things you need to know. First off, don't let the small population of approximately 8,000 fool you into thinking you'll be moving to a slumber town. There are a lot of people here. The population density in the town is higher that the state average and much higher than the national average. Weather wise, Francisville can be subject to all kinds of craziness.
