This suburban neighborhood in Kalamazoo may have a condo for rent along with apartment homes and perhaps a 2 bedroom apartment. If you are looking for serviced apartments, you will probably have better luck searching within the city of Kalamazoo, which has more real estate options in general. You'll find that the majority of housing is single-family homes but there's an apartment complex or two peppered in here as well! The landscape is diverse and super pretty so think about whether living near a park or a lake is important to you because the option does exist!
What to Watch for
Much of the property here was constructed before 1970 so you might want to take a close look at the homes or apartments you're considering in order to make sure it doesn't have too many flaws. Older homes tend to need a little more maintenance so talk with your landlord about what kind of assistance you can expect in the event a pipe bursts or something else happens! Construction like this can get pricey and can often take some time and you don't want to be out of a home for a few weeks!
Securing Your Real Estate
When you head to Comstock to rent, you're going to need to get approval from your landlord before you move in. This involves doing a background check and a credit check to verify both your identity and the fact that you'll be able to cough up the rent money every month! Be prepared to produce a copy of your ID, bank statements, rental application, pay stubs, letter of employment, references and whatever else you might need in order to pass the test! You'll also want to bring your checkbook along so that you can put down a deposit check if you need to.
