Overall rating
It's the "war zone" of Albuquerque. We are surrounded by homeless addicts and hookers. These apartments are over priced in this area. Maintenance requests take 5-15 days to complete. Management is nice, but there is little they are willing to do. I can't stress how inflated the rent is here. Even for remodeled units. $1000+ for a one bedroom unit in the war zone is just ridiculous. Plus, roaches. We fight roaches everyday because other units in our building are unsanitary. Lastly, there are the unregulated utilities. We pay outrageous amounts for water, sewer, gas, and trash. It adds a sold $100 on top of the rent. But I still can't figure out how we use $45+ worth of water in a month. Plus, you have to pay a fee of about $6/mo for the privilege of paying for overpriced utilities. Right now, there are few choices in the rental market for one bedroom units, so it's kind of a "take what you can get" situation. Landlords know that and eagerly price gouge. It allows for hight turn over on units so they can really make their money of innumerable fees and high deposits they get to keep after your evicted for non-payment of the inflated rent. It makes finding. Permanent home at an apartment complex practically impossible.
