As a suburb of Augusta, property rates and home rental prices tend to be a little lower than the rest of South Carolina, which makes the cost of living in Belvedere very attractive. Since Belvedere is hardly more than a neighborhood in its own right, it isn't actually divided up into neighborhoods. Edgefield Road is the main thoroughfare through the community. Most conveniences -- including shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores -- are on Edgefield Road between West Five Notch Road and Clearwater Road.
Living in Belvedere
There are a few parks in Belvedere to enjoy some outdoor recreation. Thomas Park is located off of Highway 25 on Johnson Road in Belvedere and boasts of tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground area and a picnic shelter. While there are lots of local amenities in Belvedere, you'll want to head into Augusta to get a culture and entertainment fix. Luckily, Edgefield Road (US Route 25) runs right to Augusta, so you can be there in roughly 15 minutes. There you can explore museums, including the Morris Museum of Art and the Augusta Museum of History, take in the sights on the Riverwalk or head to the Broad Street Historical District and be entertained at the Imperial Theater.
