Only minutes from Cherokee and Douglas Lakes, it takes great advantage of its prime location, benefiting from the big-city amenities offered by nearby Knoxville and Gatlinburg, while retaining its lovely country town atmosphere. Get a Car
If you don't already have one, getting around while living in a smallish town like Jefferson City necessitates a decent car; while you may be able to walk places within the town itself, there will be plenty of times when you need to visit Knoxville or Gatlinburg for those things Jefferson does not offer, so a car is a must.
