My experience from arrival has been nothing short of underwhelming, frustrating and extremely disappointing. The apartment was filthy when I got here and this place is built with shoddy construction at best. There were paint remnants tracked all over the floor throughout the entire apartment. The floors, counters, cabinets, bathtubs, etc. were dirty. Spent the first few days deep cleaning EVERYTHING and removing paint and/or caulk from floors, countertops, etc. before I even felt comfortable putting rugs down and things where they belonged. Cabinets have holes underneath them where the bases don't meet up with the cabinetry. There are several different sheens of paint throughout the apartment. Not sure when the last time is was completely painted. Patchwork is done, and sometimes painted over (albeit not with the original paint) and sometimes not. I couldn't even open one bathroom door all the way because the drawer pulls were too long and kept the door from opening. Additionally, the towel bar was behind the door, so basically useless. When I asked for it to be moved they were prompt (a day or two after the request) in changing it, (putting it over the light switch instead), and although the previous holes were patched, there was no clean up or painting. To add insult to injury I was charged a "move in" fee that is supposed to be used to prepare the apartment for moving in, TWICE and when thoughts and concerns were brought up to the office I was told, in not so many words, that I needed to lower my standards and expectations. I, unfortunately relocated from out of state, so was unfamiliar with the area or different locations. I solely relied on reviews and photos I could find on the internet. This place had good reviews compared to many of the others, so obviously I went with it. This rant is just the tip of the iceberg as far as the ways in which I regret signing a year lease with this complex but I hope this will help someone else to not make the same mistake I did. Oh, by the way, it is a gated community but everyone and their brother is given the same gate code(including delivery people, guests, etc.) so being "gated" is kind of a moot point.
