Welcome to Wind Lake, a charming little town located in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin. The town is situated right on the lake of the same name, so much of the activity here is based around the water. Wind Lake is a 919-acre lake located in Racine County. It's about 47 feet deep, which makes it a great place to go fishing in the summer or ice fishing in the winter! Lakeside: This area encompasses the housing right around the large Wind Lake located in the eastern portion of town. Pretty much everyone here has a car to get around, and there are quite a few restaurants and shops in the area.

Raynor Avenue / Northscape: This neighborhood is on the east side of town and stretches over to Route 45, one of the main roads in this part of the state. The Cindy Guntly Memorial Airport is right here, too, which is a great way to get the heck out of town whenever you need to. There are some great places to grab a bite and a beer around here, such as Sportsman's Landing and The Cruise.

Tichigan: Just off the west side of Wind Lake is another area called Tichigan -- yes, that's Michigan with a T. This is a beautiful and well-preserved wildlife area comprised of gorgeous lakes and parks. You'll find it's a bit more bucolic than living right at the center of Wind Lake, and the properties are stretched out with big yards and quaint, small-town roads.

Milwaukee Avenue / E. Main Street: Buena Lake is a gorgeous area that includes the Rivermoor Golf Club and the beautiful Buena Lake. This is the place to live if you want the peace and quiet of the country, but also want to have your finger on the pulse of town.

Living in Wind Lake

If you're moving to Wind Lake, you can expect to find a nice, settled life without too much chaos or distraction. It's sort of the best of all worlds because its serene location happens to be only 30 minutes from Milwaukee, the biggest city in Wisconsin and the hub of all the action. Whether you're driving in for work or for play, there's a lot to take advantage of -- from the awesome symphony to the museums, as well as the great bars and nightlife. You'll also find baseball and breweries (get yourself over to Lakefront Brewery ASAP): two things that Milwaukee is particularly well-known for. If you don't have a particular fondness for fishing, you might have to work on cultivating other hobbies since that's what this area is famous for. Whatever you end up doing, be sure to bring your warmest winter clothes because it does get chilly here for a good part of the year!
