Located in southeast Texas with a population of 11,546 residents and growing, El Campo is the largest city in Wharton county. The closest highway, I-59, curves around this idyllic and picturesque little Texas town that bursts with blooming wildflowers each spring. El Campo has long been a well established community. Incorporated on June 19, 1905 and prosperous thanks to the farmers that settled the land with corn, cotton, rice and hay, the modern day city of El Campo has diversified into aquaculture and petroleum products as well.
